L’Automne de l’Image: discovering Nice through contemporary culture
Until 29 November 2026, photography, cinema and video offer another rhythm in Nice, inviting you to explore beyond familiar addresses.

You can discover a city through what it creates. This autumn, Nice offers curious visitors and new residents an inviting starting point: spend time at an exhibition or screening, then look again at the streets you pass through.
A season still unfolding in November
The Nice Côte d’Azur Tourist Office confirms that the fifth edition of L’Automne de l’Image runs from 19 September to 29 November 2026. Photography, cinema and video shape this cultural season. As of 2 November, the programme is continuing; the early September and October events have already taken place.
Le 109 is one of the places to explore. The Tourist Office describes it as a former industrial site transformed into a contemporary culture hub. It offers another introduction to Nice, alongside walks by the sea and visits to the historic centre.
Build an outing around your interests
Rather than trying to see everything, choose something that catches your attention: an image, a subject, a short format or a conversation. The official programme lets you check the venue, date and admission arrangements. Some events in the wider season have already finished, so confirm the particular session before travelling.
Leave some unplanned time around your visit. A coffee, a walk or dinner can give the outing a place in your stay. Families, couples and solo visitors can discover the same city at different paces.
Culture as a guide to settling in
If you are considering life on the French Riviera, think about the place you want these outings to have. A cultural programme becomes part of daily life when it fits your week: getting there, returning home and feeling like going out after work all matter when choosing a neighbourhood.
Our suggestion is simple: during your next exploratory stay, combine a property viewing with an experience of the city. You can then assess the home in context. Tell Guillaume what you enjoy doing so we can connect your interests with areas worth discovering.
